Here are some frequently asked questions about the Skip Intro Extension.

Why can't I see the extension anywhere?

Skip Intro does everything in the background, so it really doesn't need to jump around in front of the screen all the time. It shows a skip icon in the omni box (address bar) when it skips an intro, but it usually happens so fast, 99% of the time, you won't see it.

I can see the 'Skip Intro' link on the page in front of me, so why didn't the extension skip it?! :-|

Sometimes, the 'Skip Intro' link is embedded into the Flash movie instead of being a pure HTML link outside of it. This is even worse than having an intro itself. This extension doesn't have the scope to poke around the

Does it only work with Flash intros or also HTML5/JavaScript/jQuery/CSS animations?

It'll work with pretty much anything. The extension looks for the 'Skip Intro' link and clicks it, regardless of what tech was used to make the intro. So long as there's a pure HTML link on the page in question, it'll work just fine.

My browser is having epileptic seizures! How do I disable Skip Intro?

Skip Intro is in an early alpha phase, so this is to be expected. Simply visit your Chrome Extensions page and disable it from there. There will be an easier way to disable/enable the extension in the next release.

Can I skip intros or disable skipping on certain sites?

Not yet, but I'm working on a blacklist/whitelist in the next version. Should be out in a couple of days.

Can you make the extension skip full screen/intertitial ads with a "Skip this ad" link?

As the name says, this extension only skips intros, not ads. Ads are a different story altogether and there are more capable extensions for better ad blocking.

Is there a Firefox/Opera/Safari/IE version?

I hate Firefox, so I don't think I'll make a version of the Skip Intro extension for it. Internet Explorer is dead - if you still use it, then you're probably the type to sit through all Flash intros anyway!

I'll look into making an Opera and Safari version. Safari sooner than Opera.
